is both audible and visual.  Here you will find stories and biographies shared through photography, ambient audio, verbal interviews, written transcripts, and video.  I share stories with my work.  I record life with my photography.  People are made up of their life experiences and their stories.  A pretty picture’s value lies only in the subject’s appearance.  My passion is to create a snapshot of someone’s life where they can look back in 5, 10, 20 years and say, “I remember that old house…I remember how the sun felt when streaming through the bedroom window…I remember when my kids played here…I remember that embrace.”

This direction my work has taken has been directly influenced by my 2010 photo road trip across the Midwest, entitled Intimate America.  It was during this experience I learned how important people’s stories are and how important it is to preserve and share them.  Now I’m adding another layer to my Intimate America work and instead of just having you read transcribed stories, you’ll be able to hear them directly from a person’s mouth.
